What size of RV should I choose?
First time renters are often concerned about renting a larger motorhome. They think it will be less stressful to drive a shorter motorhome, and it should get better gas mileage….right? Not necessarily...

Isn't a larger size motorhome going to cost more to rent?
Although they cost a lot more to purchase, they do not always cost more to rent. In fact, in many cases our larger motorhomes are are more affordable than our smaller motorhomes. This is simply because we have a demand based pricing structure, so when our smaller size motorhomes start to sell out we increase their price and if we still have open availability of larger motorhomes their price will stay the same.

Driving the motorhome
The reality of driving a motorhome is that once you get on the road, a 24 foot motorhome and a 33 foot motorhome both drive the same. Really, after 15 minutes of driving the stress will start to melt away and by the second hour you will be an “old hand” at driving the RV.

Here's How It Works: From the minute you leave on your Alaskan RV adventure you will be earning 100 Loyalty Points per day. The more days you rent the more points you earn! Once you have earned enough points and reach VIP Silver status you will start receiving rewards.

If you are flexible with your Pick Up and Return times, you may find slightly lower rates by not picking up during the extreme early hours of the morning or by not returning extremely late in the afternoon. Also a flexible traveler may save a small amount by picking up and returning mid-week.

If you pick up very early in the morning we must prepare the motorhome for you in the afternoon of the previous day. When you return very late in the afternoon, we do not have time to prepare the motorhome for the next guest until the following morning. Your best value is when you rent for 7 or more days.

Note: As we fill up for the season, some Pickup and Return times or Pickup and Return dates will become unavailable. Our reservations software will automatically suggest alternate times.

Can I bring my Pets (Dogs, Cats, etc) with me in the motorhome?

NO.  Sorry, we do not allow pets, dogs, cats, or any animals of any kind in our rental motorhomes. Great Alaskan Holidays, Inc. is pleased to offer animal free motorhomes, and we hold our clients accountable with substantial penalty fees for bringing animals into the motorhome ($500 fine). We cannot guarantee the previous guest did not bring an animal into the motorhome, however the motorhomes are thoroughly cleaned by our housekeeping staff between each rental. (Service Animals are welcome, but please let us know in advance of your needs).
