Great Alaskan Holidays' roots date all the way back to 1985 when the company was founded by Mr. Daryl Bennett.  We originally operated with only 5 motorhomes on a dirt parking lot on a side street adjacent to Anchorage’s airport.  The company now operates out of a state-of-the-art 27,000 square foot facility located on 8-acres of property conveniently located 12 minutes away from the Anchorage International Airport.  Now in business for over 40 years, Great Alaskan Holidays has become the largest and most reputable RV rental and sales dealership throughout the State of Alaska. To this day, Mr. Bennett remains an active part of the company's daily operations.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation

Every year tens of thousands of volunteers, donors and supporters advance the Make-A-Wish Foundation vision to grant the wish of every child diagnosed with a critical illness. In the United States, remarkably, a wish is granted every 34 minutes. A wish can be that spark that helps these children believe anything is possible and gives them the strength to fight harder against their illnesses. This one belief guides the Make-A-Wish Foundation and inspires them to grant wishes that change the lives of the children they serve.

The United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program

The Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program was established to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to improving communities in the future.

Every season Great Alaskan Holidays provides an RV as shelter from the Alaskan elements for the Marine Corps and media personnel as they conduct their annual Christmas toy drives.  We’ve seen first-hand just how important this program is as donations come in, knowing that each one is going to have a positive impact on the life of a child somewhere in Alaska.
