Great Alaskan Holidays Successful Visit at Google Headquarters
Anchorage, Alaska – Great Alaskan Holidays (www.greatalaskanholidays.com), Alaska’s largest RV rental, sales, and service business headquartered in Anchorage, was selected by Google, LLC (www.google.com) to represent Alaska in its annual Google Economic Impact Report (EIR 2017). Representatives from Great Alaskan Holidays have recently returned from a successful invitation visit of Google’s Headquarters.
Bob Johnson, Director of Marketing, and Wes Rathburn, Sr. Software Engineer for Great Alaskan Holidays, recently visited the Google Headquarter campus in Mountain View, California for the Grow With Google event. During the Business Meetup they were introduced to various other organizations throughout the United States who were also applying Google assets in creative, productive manners, and received insight on new Google technologies soon to be deployed.
“Google’s EIR represents the country’s best businesses who most effectively and efficiently utilize and showcase the use of the Internet to grow their business”, says Bob Johnson, the firm’s Director of Marketing. “To be recognized by Google and to visit their headquarters campus further equips us with validations and additional insights as to how we can continue reaching out to our customers, and offering them a world-class experience”.
The purpose of the EIR is to highlight Google’s local economic impact in each of the 50 United States and Washington, D.C. For Alaska, Great Alaskan Holidays had been selected as a significant contributor to the State of Alaska’s economy, and more specifically, its tourism industry. Google’s search and advertising tools helped provide $283 billion of economic activity for American businesses, website publishers, and non-profits across the U.S. in 2017.
