The Denali Grand Tour takes you completely around the mountain. You’ll see the highlights of both the Denali Experience (our basic tour route) and the Denali Flyer (our extended south side tour) before crossing the divide over to the north side and a completely different landscape. Our passengers claim that flightseeing Denali in this way is the highlight of their trip.

See Mt. Denali from all sides during your flight – North, South, East & West. Soar over Kahiltna Pass after seeing the Climber’s Base Camp at the 7,200 foot level of the Kahiltna Glacier. Discover Denali’s famous West Buttress Climbing Route.Cross over the divide of the Alaska Range into a different world filled with alpine tundra and fewer glaciers. What to wear and bring…
During the summer season, May through September 15, we encourage you to layer your clothing, bring a light jacket and wear long pants. In addition, it is a very good idea to have comfortable, closed toe shoes and sunglasses. We provide glacier overboots for landings. During the shoulder seasons: It is a good idea to bring a heavier coat, gloves/mittens, a hat and boots.

Driving Directions from Anchorage

Drive time from Anchorage – approximately 2 hours 15 minutes.

  • Go north on the Glenn Highway (AK 1) approximately 34 miles.
  • Take Parks Highway (AK-3) approximately 64 miles.
  • Turn right at the South Talkeetna Spur Road.
  • Travel approximately 14.1 miles.
  • Take a right on Second Street.
  • Drive over the railroad tracks.
  • K2 Aviation will be on your right-hand side.

Driving Directions from Fairbanks

Drive time from Fairbanks – approximately 4 hours 30 minutes

  • Take AK-3 N/AK-3 S George Parks Highway via the ramp to Anchorage
  • Merge onto AK-3 S/George Parks Highway
  • Follow the George Parks Highway south for 255 miles.
  • At mile 98 of the George Parks Highway turn left onto the Talkeetna Spur Road.
  • Follow the Talkeetna Spur Road 14.1 miles.
  • Turn right onto Second Street.
  • Drive over the railroad tracks.
  • K2 Aviation will be on your right-hand side.
